If it's something that involves the entire county in a tax hike, she did the right thing. If it came out after the tax hike that the school board knew and didn't tell anyone, shit would hit the proverbial fan faster than they could say their own names and they'd be watching recall petitions going around. Are the stupid? Any school with board members that stupid should be looking at recall petitions.

This a huge step because a lot of them transition out to live on the streets. There has never been a plan for them. However, I'm a bit more concerned about the younger children who are dying in foster care from neglect. Is there a limit on the amount of foster children people can have? I have a former student, she and her husband became foster parents, he is out of the house a lot for work. She had a social worker show up one night with 4 kids. Three boys and a girl. No clothing, nothing but the clothes on their backs. She had issues with on of the boys not wanting to go to bed. He wanted to watch TV or play videogames. She told him there were bedtime rules. She'd found him a T-shirt he could were to sleep in and told them all they'd find clothes in the morning after breakfast. This boy was 12 years old and she saw the situation escalating and called the social worker. Mind you she has a 3 yr old and is pregnant with her second child. She thinks if her husband had been there, it wouldn't have been an issue, but because he wasn't this chunky kid was going to push the limits. He started a high pitched wail while she was on the phone. She said look, I have the other three kids and my own daughter in bed, but they cannot sleep with this nonsense going on. Social worker reluctantly came to get him and by the next morning was picking up the other three. She said I'm done. She said they don't pay you enough to cover the costs of an extra child for a week. That's if they don't need clothes or medical. If they do she's paying out of pocket.

And if one of these illegal aliens whose on an ankle monitor or tether, is released and kills assaults or kills someone are we holding this idiot judge accountable? Like he is off the bench? 30 days in the slammer, twenty minutes with a loved one of the person assaulted or killed. All of the above work for me and add that families can file a wrongful death charge against him and take all his millions? I'm good with that.

This is wrong. Kids between 12 1/2 and 20 are in the schitzofreakic years. Their bodies are changing, their brain is evolving and what might look like something is going on could be nothing more than puberty. Leave them alone. Mention something to the parents in private to keep an eye on their child. They're trying to figure out their place in the school pecking order. They all just want to fit in and be accepted. Let them develop. If you have watched the behaviors change drastically and you don't see anything at home that has changed, talk to the parents, no threats, just talk. I ha student who missed a lot of school in elementary. It carried over into 5th and 6th grade. She was an all A student so no one mentioned the absenses She made up the work. Her mother was terminally ill. She died when her daughter was in the 6th grade. There were days when there was no one there to help take care of her mom. She stayed home. She had an aunt who came in as often as she could. This child did cooking and laundry by second grade. Hospice came in a couple days a week in the last few month, but they didn't stay. They took vitals and made sure mom was getting her meds. I think she had an older half brother who checked in once in a while. If any child should have had emotional issues it was this one, but she didn't. She knew which teachers she could talk to if she needed to. If you child has one adult they are comfortable speaking to about things that bother them, they will be fine. This child had her pick of teachers because we all knew what was going on.

Tariffs are hurting all of us. I got a bill for $10.31 for tariff tax and administrative fees. I paid it. Then I got an email from the company that said I didn't have to pay the tariff and tax fee as they were taking care of it on their end. I told them I had paid it. I had a refund within the hour. I hadn't asked for it. They reached out to the shipped and told them what was going on and the shipper refunded it. It's the only company I know of who does this. It's a subscription package I get monthly from Ireland.
