Right you are, Dave. Having kids changed me from a city slicker (lived in the city of Detroit for the first half of my life) to a Yooper, because I just couldn’t see raising my two boys in the same area where I had grown up. I was worried that they would end up dead, drug addicted or in prison. Gangs, drugs and crime everywhere, and even though we all do our best to raise our kids right, we can’t be with them 24/7. Best move I ever made. And even though my kids were mad at the time, they both admit it was a good choice.

I have so much respect for the job that you’re doing ! I’m not sure how you can possibly stay sane with all the crazy things going on in America. I was born in 1965, and while I was growing up, life seemed to be so much simpler. Maybe I feel this way because I was busy with other things and not paying attention to what was going on in this country. I’m 57 now and been on disability for the past 3 years. I get very frustrated about many things that are going on. I’ve always been very patriotic, I grew up 8 miles from Fort McHenry in Baltimore, Md. and visited it many times as a young child. I served my country for 5 years in the Army. It breaks my heart to see the direction this country is going. It’s very difficult for me to keep up with all that is going on and quite frankly, I makes me very depressed. I’m not sure how you do it day in and day out. I appreciate and thank you for the outstanding job you do. May God bless you and your wonderful family and keep all of you safe.

Thank, Frank

I know you are the greatest father to your children, Dave. And I know also that they will grow up to be great kids and you will be very proud of them in what they choose as a career.
