As I get older I realize what it's really all about
When I grew up in the Detroit suburb of Wayne, Michigan my goal was to work in a big city as a tv news reporter.
After college, I worked at television news stations in Indiana, North Carolina, Michigan, Alabama, Pennsylvania, and back in Michigan.
I was married in 2005 and then over the next few years had two children.
Marriage and children change everything. They SHOULD change everything.
I believe everything I do in life needs to be focused on my children and ensuring they are happy, secure, and prepared to be good adults.
I have had numerous opportunities to get that big city reporter job but that would not benefit my children’s well-being.
My dad sacrificed for me and his family and I want to do the same thing for mine.
Just some thoughts on this day.
I want to thank all of you who are new to my substack and new to following me on social media.
If any of you need anything just reach out to me.

I have so much respect for the job that you’re doing ! I’m not sure how you can possibly stay sane with all the crazy things going on in America. I was born in 1965, and while I was growing up, life seemed to be so much simpler. Maybe I feel this way because I was busy with other things and not paying attention to what was going on in this country. I’m 57 now and been on disability for the past 3 years. I get very frustrated about many things that are going on. I’ve always been very patriotic, I grew up 8 miles from Fort McHenry in Baltimore, Md. and visited it many times as a young child. I served my country for 5 years in the Army. It breaks my heart to see the direction this country is going. It’s very difficult for me to keep up with all that is going on and quite frankly, I makes me very depressed. I’m not sure how you do it day in and day out. I appreciate and thank you for the outstanding job you do. May God bless you and your wonderful family and keep all of you safe.
Thank, Frank
