UPDATE- Michigan State Police say the girl has been found safe.
BURTON, Mich. — Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 14-year-old girl reported missing and endangered in Burton on Monday night.
Michigan State Police say Kimora Newell was last seen at her home in the 1000 block of Gram Street near I-475 around 8:30 p.m. Her mother told investigators she had discovered Kimora had been communicating with a male and confiscated her phone shortly before she disappeared.
Authorities say Newell left a note indicating she wanted to harm herself and was leaving home.

Police reports describe her as 5 feet tall, weighing about 92 pounds, with long dark hair and brown eyes. She may have been wearing black leggings and a gray hooded sweatshirt with “Leave Me Alone” printed on it. Family members also reported she could be wearing a light brown hoodie, black or navy sweatpants, and white Crocs.
Newell has ties to Burton, Flint and Grand Blanc.
