This move highlights the administration's strategy of bypassing mainstream media in favor of collaborating with pro-MAGA social media figures for information dissemination.

Notable attendees included social media personalities Rogan O'Handley, known as "DC Draino," Collin Rugg, Isabel Brown, and Scott Presler. O'Handley shared on social media that he met with President Trump, Vice President Vance, and Attorney General Pam Bondi in the Oval Office, where he received a binder labeled "The Epstein Files: Phase 1."

Despite the anticipation surrounding the release, the documents are heavily redacted and primarily consist of information already available in the public domain. This has led to criticism from various quarters, including Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, who leads a House GOP task force on government transparency. She expressed disappointment, stating that the release did not meet the expectations of the American public.

Attorney General Bondi defended the redactions, citing the necessity to protect the identities of over 250 victims. She also suggested that more records had been recently discovered and directed the FBI to hand over all related documents promptly.
