By mid-June 2026 the depression is going to hit and it will never be finished as there will not be any money to feel it. In six months by Christmas most families will start feeling the money crunch and many will be without jobs. It will only get worse for the next ten years. Paper money will be collected and burned. Neighborhoods will build communities to help each other because no one else will be.

I believe it is a national crisis that starts with social services and Veteran Affairs. Both entities are as disfuntional as they come. If the goal of social services is to get a single mom to work by the time her one child is 5 yrs old, the plan needs to include finishing high school and getting her employable skills. Helping her find a job and checking to make sure she keeps it. If she learns she needs a Associates Degree to get a job she likes better, we find her day care so she can attend night school and we help her get grants and scholarships so she has the money to go. We celebrate with her when she completes her degree. We make sure she is dressed for success and run her through a couple of mock interviews and teach her how to land the job she wants. She needs a job that provides a wage that allows her to have insurance and a better place to raise her child. We assist her with food stamps and maybe a housing subsidy or child care assistance so she can concentrate on her work for the next three years. At the end of each year something she is getting will be cut so she needs to be taught how to budget and manage her money. She needs to learn how to invest $10/ month for the future. By the end of year two she will lose something else subsidies and food will be cut. She now has to put them into her budget. She should now be putting $20/mo into her investments. She will have to rework her budget, by now she should know how to do this. This is what they should be doing for every single person they help. Counseling if needed, drug rehab if needed and they need to follow through on every step. You are going to lose some, but the bottom line is you are going to save more. The money should go int more and better programs not just be handed out. The current system is killing small children and leaving kids and adults on the street to die. It doesn't have to happen and the excuse well I have 4,000 on my case load I can't take anyone else, doesn't fly with me. Hire and train more people divide workload evenly and fire those not doing their jobs. Find someone who cares.

If the judge is smart she will be remanded to a rehab center for 6 mo- a year to get clean and get counseling. As she figures what she will do with the rest of her life since she won't be allowed to teach. She sure made a mess for herself.
