Searching for a donor, political signs in Michigan classroom and update on Michigan legislation
Keeping it Real November 2, 2023
Every Sunday and Thursday I air my show keeping it real on my Locals Community. after every show, I put all of the content here for paid subscribers on Substack. Thank-you for being here.
The first thing I discussed on the show was a family’s search for a liver for their loved one. Cathy Micho from Mid-Michigan needs a liver.
If you are interested in becoming her donor or feel led to do this amazing act of kindness you MUST first have A+/- or O+/- blood type and be between the age of 21-55
Cathy Micho was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer in April of 2022.
At the time of her diagnosis, she had ½ of her colon removed, but the cancer was already on her liver. In October of 2022, she went through hepatectomy surgery having 2/3 of her liver removed.
She has since been on weekly Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy treatments.
Unfortunately, the cancer has moved to a small spot on the other side of her liver and has not spread. Her medical team at U of M has advised her that the best course for her quality of life would be a liver transplant. A living liver donor would be the best specific course of action for Cathy. She has been down a long road but has been a warrior through all of it. Her positive attitude and her will to fight has been nothing but inspirational. She could use your help.
Watch my interview with Cathy’s sister:
Earlier this week I was sent a picture from someone at Bay City Central High School. I am told the picture was taken inside a classroom. The picture shows what appears to be bumper stickers of mostly Democratic candidates.
The person who sent me the picture thought it was inappropriate for teachers to be showing their political leaning.
What do you think? Take a look at the photo below:
