SHIAWASSEE COUNTY, Mich - Shiawassee County, Michigan Sheriff Doug Chapman confirms his department has arrested three illegal immigrants for attempting to solicit children for sex online.

“They can access the internet, and that’s how we have been successful in getting them,” said Sheriff Chapman.

Sheriff Chapman said the SHOT team caught the three individuals. The SHOT team is comprised of special investigators who look for people who are trying to meet up with children for immoral purposes. Click here to read the story.

NEW YORK, NY - New York City is considering a new benefit for migrants arriving to the city.

A trio of Big Apple lawmakers want to put mental health coordinators in each of the city’s 218 migrant shelters, which could add millions to the growing bill New Yorkers are paying for asylum-seekers.

It’s still a work in progress, but the proposed legislation that would offer mental health services to migrants is already facing pushback, even from some Democrats who say the city can’t afford it. It has an estimated $15 million price tag, according to a New York Post analysis.

Newly arriving migrants seeking city services are already given meals, cellphones and more recently, prepaid debit cards for food and child supplies. The city has also been using some of its nicest hotels to house migrants. Click here for story.

LANSING, Mich - If you read enough news stories about public health issues, they all start to sound the same. The headline warns us about a threat to our health. Public health officials attest that the threat is very real and advise us to be very careful, because it could happen to you or someone you love. They offer advice, such as scheduling an appointment with your doctor or getting a vaccine, if one's available.

CHICAGO, IL - A woman will go on trial this Monday on accusations of attacking a Chicago Police officer, stealing his sport-utility vehicle, and running him over back in 2022.

But since her arrest, the woman, Whitley Temple, has been hired by the City of Chicago.

Authorities said at the time that around 9:45 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2022, officers found Temple lying naked in the street near Jackson Boulevard and Kostner Avenue in West Garfield Park. Authorities at the time said as officers helped Temple, she turned the tables and began to attack one of the officers.

Prosecutors said Temple, still naked, then drove off in the Chicago Police vehicle and drove over an officer – injuring his head and leg. Click here to read more.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Former U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Gen. Frank McKenzie said during an interview over the weekend that the threat that ISIS poses to the U.S. homeland is becoming serious because of President Joe Biden’s foreign policy.

McKenzie made the remarks during a Sunday interview on ABC News’ “This Week” with Martha Raddatz in which he was asked about the recent ISIS terrorist attack in Moscow. Click here to read more.
