This homeschool bill is redundant. Parents are currently required to register their child with their ISD-Intermediate School District. What this does is allow homeschooled students to participate in sports in their school district, take required testing in the school district and participate in band, music, or art classes. It's been in effect for years. All of my teaching years which began in 1986. I retired in 2010 and it had not been repealed at that point. It should not be an issue.
Bernie Sanders is an idiot and needs to retire himself to pasture. A 32 hour work week means businesses no longer have to offer insurance. Stupid UAW missed this. If a person works less than 36 hours a week there is no company paid insurance. Just ask Walmart, they do it all the time.
I am happy for the Guzman family. I see they went through the proper channels to get where they are. I also have friends in Columbia who run a business there. Things have changed greatly for the better. While some areas are still not improved and many are impoverished, Columbia is making an effort.
Year around school could take care of the situation in Chicago Public Schools. They would work 45 day and have 20 days off. Come back and work 45 days and get another 20 days off. Those schools doing this get June and July off. and I believe they are off for Thanksgiving come back and work 10 days and are off from that time until after the new year. Maybe they should check this out.
