School districts all over do stupid things. This ranks among one of the stupidest. If they continue he is going to own the school and fire the administrators. I wouldn't blame him.
This is one of the first things that is good being talked about. The other thing is parents have to be much more vigilant about the time their kids are online and what they are doing. Takng one night a week to do a family game night complete with board, card, strategy games is the best thing parents can do. They make it a no tech night. My daughter grew up in a one parent family before cell phones and we took one night a week for games. I made sure her homework was done and we took one night, turned off the TV and played games. She carried over into her family.
I would not want to be buying a home at this point in my life. Interest rates are too high. I could never afford at $2000+mortgage payment. Plus the taxes and insurance. My home has risen in value since I bought it. Those looking to pay cash outright for your home are low balling all the prices. I have made improvements to my home and would no way in hell sell it for what I bought it for. Seriously, I have been able to pay ahead on my mortgage, so my home has over $23,000 in equity and a current value of $272,400. If I sold it tomorrow, would net about $203,302 for it. I still wouldn't want to be looking for a different house with only $203,000 to put down.
Who is surprised? Michigan in one of the northern state with a huge fraud amount in SNAP benefits. Why is it so easy to defraud people who get these benefits. One man lost his entire month of Bridge Card credit while he slept. He had never given his pin number to anyone and he lived alone. A woman in Detroit went to be knowing her Bridge Card was ready for her trip to the grocery store in the morning and woke up to find over $700 missing. She had four kids to feed. This should NEVER happen to anyone. Many are poor seniors or working moms just trying to keep afloat because the dad is a dead beat and doesn't pay his child support. I waited years to get child support and he died still owing $4100+. There was no estate. His wife got his social security and military pension. Neither of which she can live on. She moved back in to take care of her ex husband so he would have a caregiver and she would have a roof over her head. I would bet she qualifies for SNAP benefits.

Any of this surprise anyone? Joe has been going down hill for years and no one saw it. Not even his wife knew his staff was keeping him drugged.
