It's time Michigan's politics got out of the education game. They have absolutely no concept of what goes on in a classroom. Not one of them would last a day let alone a week in a public school classroom. Teachers daily deal with kids who do not have clean clothing, are not fed breakfast and have no lunch. They deal with kids who are tired because they listen to Dad beat Mom most of the night and Mom's crying and begging him to stop. They are allowed to spend hours on video games so they will tune out marital disputes and abuse. Some of the children are abused. Some parents are drunks, drug addicts, or have other issues. All this has to be dealt with while teaching the rest of the class. Teachers don't always know the cause for a child's outbursts or meltdowns. It's not like they can take a time-out and investigate either. That has to be done on planning time. Sometimes they only have 30 min of planning and have to deal with 6-7 kids. Most likely they can reach one-two parents and let them know something is wrong. If they only get to two, that means their 30 min lunch is now spent calling parents and eating in between. If they reach two more parents it's a miracle. Finally, it's the end of the day and there are still two parents to reach. That gets done the minute the busses roll out. Then all the things they had planned to do during planning, need to be done before they go home. Anything after the last bell rings is done on the teacher's own time, no pay.

So, now the idiots in Lansing want to change the curriculum for sex education. Did they ask for teacher input? Did they ask for parent input? I suspect not. They are going to push the left agenda on everyone at all costs. This is WRONG! Parents should be screaming outside the Capital Building.

Oprah was correct. This could have been the last election. As it turned out, I don't think it will be. Do I think we are going to see a revolution? Yes, however not with weapons against each other. I think if things go well, we will have a huge shift in the way government is run. I also think it will once again run for the people, by the people. Instead of elected officials being owned by corporations as billionaires.

The fact that Kamala Harris had to pay people to endorse her is ridiculous. People should do that willingly. There is part of the reason her campaign failed.

An apology from Mattel does not solve the problem of putting a porn link on a child's toy. This was a huge mistake and they need to get it fixed. Who was in charge of this? Are they still employed at Mattel? They shouldn't be.

I have a way to cut spending. Start in the offices of the Senators and House of Representatives. Give them a a teacher's budget. I had to run a classroom for 1080 days on $50. That's paper, pencils, and teacher supplies. The rest came out of my pocket. For a while they actually let me claim $500 for classroom supplies. Then it dwindled back to $250 on the federal tax form. That would save a ton of money. Where my daughter works, she buys her own pens, notebooks, and memo pads. That is NOT supplied by her employer. Her own staples, thumb tacks, and paperclips. Again NOT supplied by her employer. Let's keep the proposed bills to less than 100 sheet of copy paper, that too would help. If you have to buy your own office supplies, you are less likely to walk off with them.

I am hoping the body that showed up was still in a casket and it gets back to where it was originally.
