LANSING, Mich - Just days after she created a new Office of Defense and Aerospace Innovation, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on Wednesday announced a taxpayer-funded drone competition “to drive innovation in autonomous drone technology.”
Whitmer announced the Unmanned Triple Challenge at the Michigan Defense Expo in Warren, where she laid out the competition to “seamlessly transport a package across Michigan traversing air, land, and water,” according to her press office.
The contest will tap the resources of the Michigan National Guard, Michigan Department of Transportation, and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation to fulfill Whitmer’s goal of transforming the state into a leader in the aerospace industry. Click here to read more.
LOS ANGELES, CALIF - Runaways singer Cherie Currie has had enough of the “lies and more lies” coming out of the Democratic Party — and she said that it’s no longer “punk” to vote for them.
Currie, who rose to fame as part of the “all-girls answer to Grand Funk [Railroad],” shared the spotlight with iconic punk guitarists Joan Jett and Lita Ford — but she said in a post to X on Wednesday that the Democratic Party had lost its Rock ‘n’ Roll cred.
“It used to be PUNK, R&R to vote Democrat. I fell for it,” Currie said. “But when your party demands you live in fear, squaller [sic], beyond your means by just buying groceries, gasoline, disrespecting our veterans, our police, our elderly, supporting CRIMINALS, chaos, riots, Hamas, FAILING Israel, demeaning us at every turn! CHICAGO, IL - The Chicago Teachers Union is preparing to negotiate its new contract with 142 pages of demands, including that each asylum-seeking student receive $2,000.
Demanding teacher pay rise $51,000 might be excessive, but it’s understandable for CTU to be concerned about teacher performance, evaluation, compensation and benefits. But then there’s the rest of the 142 pages, which include a lot of things that have no logical link to workplace concerns.
What entitles CTU to demand a one-time, taxpayer-funded lump-sum payout to each asylum-seeking student? Maybe the fact that the taxpayers’ champion this summer will be one of CTU’s own: Mayor Brandon Johnson.
CTU’s demands and public pronouncements show they want to use the contract to force social change. It expects commitments from the mayor’s office to fund social justice, climate justice and other political goals unrelated to the conditions under which educators work. Click here to read more.

KANSAS CITY, KS - UNDATED (WKRC) - Crumbl is testing to smaller cookies in an effort to boost sales.
According to Restaurant Business Online, cookie-chain Crumbl is testing smaller cookies in an attempt to generate larger sales. Per the outlet, the chain will introduce "Mini Mondays," on which stores will create miniature-sized versions of its popular treats.
Customers will be able to purchase Crumbl's Mini Cookies in a three, six or 12 pack, per the outlet.
According to Restaurant Business Online, CEO and co-founder Jason McGowan said the move was in response to "overwhelming demand," adding that the Mini Cookies had been "a customer favorite exclusive to the catering menu up to now." Click here to read more.

I agree the Dems spent a lot of time cultivating baby boomers and they have turn on those same people. Do they really expect us to look up to them now? We see them for the liars, cheats, and thieves they are.
