Why would you give alcohol to alcoholics? It's not going to stop them from drinking and it's only going to make them more vulnerable. Where is the research that supports this lunacy?
Why? There are so many people of color who meet with negativity all their lives. Why are we not trying harder to lift them out of bad situations? We don't provide adequate education. If they are not super athletic they don't get scholarships. Seriously, why are we not taking care of our own. Being a white woman does not make me privileged. It makes a woman with white skin. No, I didn't grow up poor, I grew up middle class. Both my parents worked. I don't see color. I see people. Some of my best friends are people of color and I wouldn't change it for the world. Killing someone for their color because they don't understand your struggles doesn't help anything or anyone. Make a change yes, but killing? There is a screw loose there somewhere.
Don't forget the dark web as a place to be tracking them. Many transactions happen there. If you look at TV, there is a drug ad every time they break for ads. We have become a country looking for a drug to cure everything. One for dry eyes, one for diabetes that can also be used for weight loss, one for side effects from drugs you are taking, one to help with depression, the list goes on. We took liquor ads off TV to reduce alcoholism. Did it work? I don't know. People still drink. We want a quick fix for everything. If Big Pharma can't get it to us, we are willing to buy off the street and take our chances. Many die from those chances. We have our priorities screwed up. We are heading for a huge fall.
School Superintendent needs to be replaced. If the principal and counselor had talked to the family 20 times, they were doing nothing and should be fired. That little boy should be alive and well. My child would have been in a different school had I had to talk to the principal more than once. First, issue brings it to their attention. Second, issue tells me they don't care. I'm already looking for alternative education for my child. If there is a third issue, I am pulling my child because I have made arrangements with another school to take him in. I have ZERO tolerance for people who do NOT do their jobs.
