Okay local police were in the building the shooter was on and none of them thought it was important to check the guy on the roof reported by secret service and a photo offered as proof he was there? Did thess guys clear the building and the roof when they took possession of the building? Sure doesn't sound like they were in top form that day.

Too bad Witless didn't consult a writing coach when writing her book. Not all books make the NYT list. But for a governor to write a book, go on TV to tout her book and then have it not sell well, it's a disaster. Obviously, her publisher also didn't know how to present this book. If it's large print and only 158 pages, it lacks substance. My first 50,000 word novel was 239 pages and it was a mystery. The hardcover for my book Let's Write Fiction is only 130 pages the paperback is 122 pages, but allows room to write the exercises in the book so it is a larger sized book. The book doesn't have to be long to be good, It has to have substance. I know, I've been at this business for 60 years.

Sorry for your luck, Minnnesota. People have been deemed adults since they were 18 for most of my life. That gives them the right to carry a gun if they can get through the rigamarole required to purchase one in the first place.

I belonged to the first group of 18 year olds who were legal to drink as of Jan. 1, 1972 in Michigan. That law was revoked by the time I turned 21.

Point is you have to live with the laws of the land.

Is anyone really surprised that Biden is losing in the polls? He and baby boy Hunter both need to be behind bars. There is an actual case here of criminal conduct. I don't see anyone issuing subpeonas. Oh, wait, Daddy stepped in using his political position and Hunter got a slap on the wrist.

Teachers become the scapegoats when kids go wrong, yet they are held to a higher standard when it comes to politics. They are not supposed to have an opinion. They cannot even play devil's advocate in the classroom. I did that the year John McCain ran against Barak Obama. One student complained to her mom, who went to the principal. The principal called me in and told me I could not preach politics to my students. I told her I didn't. I asked the student who was 7th grade to tell me why not vote for Obama instead of McCain. I did not tell her I was voting for Obama or McCain. She could rattle off all the good points about McCain that she heard at home, but her only objection for Obama was that he was a Democrat. I asked her to tell me the difference between a Democrat and a Republican. She couldn't. Sarah Palin was not an issue for me nor was the fact that her unwed daughter was having a baby. Sad thing was, I voted for McCain. I wasn't then and am not now a fan of Barak Obama. The man who set Civil Rights back 50 years. I have no use for him at all.
