New Year's Resolutions
Hello 2022
2022 is here.
What are my New Year’s Resolutions?
I have a couple of them.
I want to lose weight, focus more on positivity and be the best dad and husband I can be.
I will also continue the “Keeping it Real” unbiased news that you all expect of me.
The last two years have been somewhat of a blur due to COVID-19 and a lot of other things.
I agree the last two years were crazy and horrible for many people, but for me, the last two years have been a chance to grow and learn more about life.
The pandemic will not last forever. It will end.
The one thing the pandemic did do is change many people’s way of thinking about life.
How many of you quit your job or decided to move to a new city or make a major change in your life.
The pandemic made many people, including me, realize that life is precious and can be taken away at a moment’s notice.
You never know when you wake up in the morning if that day is going to be your last day.
I have been a person who always wants to plan everything, but the one thing the pandemic has taught me is that I am not in control of everything —- GOD is in control.
In 2022 my goal is to live one day at a time. Enjoy family, friends, and life.
It’s very difficult for me not to worry about the future but I have evidence that worrying about the future will do nothing but bring you harm.
My best friend Sean O’Sullivan died four years ago from a medical complication.
Sean was my age and it was a complete shock.
Sean’s death started me thinking of how important it is to enjoy life and not take anything for granted.
Sure, prepare for the future but worrying about it does not make sense.
In this New Year I urge all of you to focus on the day, don’t worry about the future.
Focusing on the here and now WILL make you a happier person.
Have a great 2022 everyone!

So this is new for me? But your kids are are great and as for the genesee county area we really have not had a reporter that is dedicated like you
Yes Dave God is in control! I have a tendency to forget so it’s nice to be reminded at times. God Bless to you and your family and Happy New Year!
