There is no way in HELL the school should have ANY say is whether or not a student has an abortion. That is not their job. That is a parent and student decision along with the doctor. Should the young lady decide to include the father is also up to her. A counselor outside the school if they ask for one. A counselor trained in this issue, not one who will pass judgement on the student.

As parent and a grandparent I would be LIVID if the school were trying to convince my child or grandchild on what to do about an unwanted pregnancy. It ain't their wheelhouse. Stay in your lane.

Recall that school board member. He's only trying to Cover His Ass. NO TEACHER should be held responsible for making that decision for ANY student EVER. It's NOT the teacher's job! Teachers are to educate, their job is not to police the activities of students outside of school and then counsel them as to solve the problem of consequences. NO teacher I know would EVER take on that task. Their job is to report it to the school counselor and the principal. That is ALL a teacher is allowed to do.
