Yes the Wager Airport Middle School has a clinic in the school. I’m not sure why the district agreed to allow a clinic be built in the school but I sure hope that it will not violate the parent child rights.
This is illegal on so many levels, I cannot even count them. I'd pull my kid out of that district so fast, their heads would swim. Ask her can I contact a guy at the Free Press. Everyone in MI needs to be aware districts are doing this.
How is that possible? My daughter had eye tests every two years. I got a form saying I had to take her to a doctor for glasses. I did. We learned they were forcing an eye movement. After the third time my eye doctor wrote a note and exempted her from an eye test.
You would pull your kid out of school because they bought your child glasses to help them learn easier? This is ridiculous. Of all the things to be upset about this isn’t one of them.
Not the school's job to do this. They can give an eye test and make a recommendation that you get your child's eyes checked. My decision whether or not to follow through.
How do you miss a form that was sent out MULTIPLE times and had MULTIPLE Reminds sent out, especially as a certified teacher?? This doesn’t add up. Also feels like this article shouldn’t have been written until the other eye exam is done and more research on why mom didn’t get the MULTIPLE memos as part of the district staff. Sounds a little fishy and like a “I want my 5 minutes of fame” situation to me as a way to avoid taking accountability for being neglectful with your child’s school communication.
Parents and community members need to wake up before our government takes away every parental right we have. Our public school leaders all over the nation continue to nibble away at parental rights and freedoms are slipping away. Wake Up parents and grandparents!!! I’ve been fighting this front for years now. Get involved today!!

I thought it was too since the same clinic in Carleton Michigan is approximately one mile from Sterling Elementary, Wager and Airport High School.
