Part of the problem is sometimes the teachers are the bullies. You cannot go to a teacher who bullies you. This is horrendous. This poor Mom is sitting with her child waiting for her to die. No one should have to do this. My heart goes out to her. Kids who bullies are usually bullied at home. There are going to be a lot more leaving to prevent this. Prayers for this family.

That is very true

Bullied at home by parents is entirely true

I find it hard to believe that not one teacher didn’t see what was going on and take to stop the bullies?

Having lived with it throughout my elementary school years, save for when I was in parochial school

(nuns would not allow it)

I fully grasp what it means

The 'teachers' in other than parochial stood by allowing it. NEVER cared enough to step up

I never told my parents. Years later mom told me that she was at the bus stop when it pulled up

I did not get off so she asked the students what happened to me

"She got off and is walking", which was quite a distance, was their reply

Of course NONE told her why.

She then asked me why I had never told her

I replied "AND what would YOU have done? Would you have been in class with me? In

the lunch room? On the bus?"

AND my sin in the eyes of other students?

My height, which I acquired early, and my crooked teeth

THEY NEVER stopped

My parents were able to take me to an orthodontist to correct the teeth issue, but could do nothing about my height

Later when I taught in Turkey (middle school) as a Peace Corps volunteer, IF I overheard

anything in class or in the school yard, I stepped up UNLIKE my teachers had done for me

are you serious?

They NEVER did anything to stop it during my years of enduring it

(all but parochial where nuns would NOT allow it)
