COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. — A Michigan mother is raising concerns about the accuracy of the state’s voter rolls after she says absentee ballots continue to arrive for her son, who died more than a year ago.
Tammy Martin says her son died Oct. 29, 2025, at age 25 after living with mitochondrial disease. Despite his death, she says absentee ballots and other election-related materials have continued arriving at her home, including a ballot for the November 2026 election.
Martin says she has contacted Comstock Township officials at least three times to report her son’s death and request that his name be removed from the voter rolls. She says those efforts have been unsuccessful.
