Michigan man on vacation in Maui evacuated from condo. Now he is volunteering
The man is expected to fly back home on Sunday.
At least 53 are dead and several others have been hurt in wind-fueled wildfires that continue to tear through Maui, according to officials in Hawaii.
Mayor Richard Bissen Jr. said search and rescue efforts are underway as crews battle massive flames.
"The fire is still burning," Bissen said during a news conference Wednesday.
I talked to Kevin from Westland, Michigan who is on vacation in Maui. He told me how his family was evacuated from their condo and is now volunteering and helping others on the island.
