These bills are abhorrent and an exercise in forcing UNRELIABLE and INEFFICIENT and ENVIRONMENTALLY damaging Chinese dependence on our state. These Dems are fixated on ONLY wind and solar and are IGNORING everything else that has worked just fine for us in the past and any new and better innovations (including nuclear) that are available.

Our bills will skyrocket, we'll suffer rolling blackouts, animals will lose their habitats, birds will be killed, and farmland destroyed. How many have a vision of windmills and solar panels coated with ice under the cloudy dark skies that continue for days n our winter months... Really? They honestly think that will keep us warm?

They also ignore the environmentally dangerous and destructive method of obtaining the material for them and how to dispose of them when their lifespan is over.

Interesting what the demands are if we would lease land to solar companies. We received one such solicitation and it clearly stated that THEY will have sole use of our land for the length of the lease; therefore no farming permitted. What if we just want to walk around there? Are we off limits too?

In short, these two methods are just not good enough to use except maybe here and there for individual use if someone desires them. That's fine. But for an entire state? In my humble opinion, only sheer ignorance, cupidity for payoffs, or cult-like devotion could be behind this push.

If the Democrats are for it , then I'm against it! They only pass bills , legislation etc. that line their pockets and/ or give them more control over us

House Committee on Energy passed it. It's now going to House Floor. Completely split on party lines. Dems wouldn't even look those from the public who came to watch them take away our local rights in the face as they voted...all looked like they were ashamed. Representative Andrews, Vice Chair of Committee is conflicted and owns a solar company. His sister who was his Campaign Manager now works for renewable energy lobbyist that actually lobby's his committee. Senate is pushing through legislation that mirrors what the house is pushing through. Counties and Townships throughout the state are continuing to sign resolutions against this, the list is growing fast. All rural communities want is responsible siting and to retain local zoning control of this land use. Surrounding homes in rural areas and filling our agricultural land up with industrial equipment for 30+ years is irresponsible.
