Life after TV News
Catching up with all of you
Hello everyone.
It has been a little more than two months since I left my job in local TV News.
I worked in TV news for 25 years. I thought I would miss working in TV, but honestly, there has not been one moment where I have missed working in the news.
I thought I would miss the breaking news and the chaos of the newsroom, but I don’t.
I left NBC25/FOX66 in part to spend more time with my family, but also to pursue my own dream of producing my own independent content and running my own social media management company.
I still do journalism, but just not on television.
I continue to do my own reporting on the site called Locals. Locals is just like Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram but without censorship. You can sign up for my Locals community by clicking here. It’s $5 a month, give it a try and if you don’t like it you can leave.
You can also become a paid subscriber here on Substack.
If you are a paid subscriber on Locals or Substack you will get free access to all of my content. Take a look below, this is what my Locals show looks like. I produce them every Thursday and Sunday.
It’s not cheap to produce journalism for social media. I will be using your donations to buy equipment, travel, and file freedom of information requests from government officials. Basically, I will be holding the officials accountable and giving you the stories you deserve and need to hear.
I am on a mission to tell real news with no bias and no narrative but need your help to do so.
Now that I am not controlled by corporate media I can say out loud I believe in GOD, family, and country. That is what I am all about.
When I left NBC25 in Flint I was the station’s digital content manager. I am also now managing social media for businesses in Michigan and throughout the country.
I want to use my expertise in social media to help businesses grow.
If you own a business or need help growing your social media reach out to me, I can help.
When my mom was in her last days of life last year she told me to do what it takes to be happy. I can say I am now happy with my life and on top of everything I get to see my family more and am able to keep it real and help all of you.
