My take and how the media has failed

I usually don’t offer commentaries, but I feel compelled to do so now.

Last week, Kansas City Chiefs placekicker Harrison Butker delivered the commencement address at Benedictine College, a Catholic institution.

Butker is facing severe criticism from some media outlets, celebrities, and even fellow professional athletes. In his speech, he discussed his Catholic faith, political views, and his pride in his wife being a stay-at-home mom.

However, many critics have formed their opinions based on brief 20 or 30-second soundbites, ignoring the full context of his 20-minute speech.

Before passing judgment, I believe people should watch or listen to the entire speech. The media often fails to provide full context, favoring clickbait and oversimplified summaries.

I urge everyone: if you want to understand a story or form a well-informed opinion, take the time to watch or read the entire content.
