Altho I personally would like to see it happen as Ive always believed that not only is Chauvin innocent (based on my 20+ years experience as an active opiate addict [10+ years sober now] and on evidence too) but also that he was convicted before his trial even started. I don’t see Trump (or anyone else) being willing to pardon him b/c of today’s political climate but even more so b/c midterm elections are getting closer. It would be suicide for the Republican Party. On top of that, if Mr Chauvin was pardoned he would be removed from a federal prison and sent to a state prison which would be far more dangerous for him. Im assuming that would have to be part of the consideration when all is said and done

This is a bad media stunt. Done for no other purpose than to rile the public. I would doubt that the President is looking to see riots happening.
