Sources say laid-off employees in Michigan and other states lost email and system access within hours of being notified as GM moves to cut costs and streamline operations.
This is a first in my lifetime. Did they have time collect their personal things before they were booted out the door? Or were they told on the way in? I get streamlining, but generally those being laid off get to clean out their personal things from their office or workplace. Blocking emails and other corporate things is standard procedure.
Pretty sure it’s standard protocol to lose access to email and accounts after being fired.
Absolutely it is
