Days after purchase, homeowner uncovers possible human remains
Michigan State Police are investigating
FOREST TOWNSHIP, Mich. — Michigan State Police are investigating after possible human remains were discovered on a property in Genesee County Wednesday afternoon.
Troopers from the Flint Post were dispatched around 12:50 p.m. March 18 to a home on Willard Road in Forest Township for a report of a suspicious situation. The caller, who recently purchased the property, told authorities he had discovered what he believed to be human remains.
Troopers, along with detectives and a Michigan State Police canine team, searched the property. A preliminary investigation indicates that human remains were present, according to police.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. No suspects are currently in custody.
