Business Jet Owned by Firm Affiliated With Former NASCAR Driver Crashes in North Carolina
FAA and NTSB investigate crash at Statesville Regional Airport
STATESVILLE, N.C. — A private business jet crashed at Statesville Regional Airport in Iredell County Thursday morning, killing multiple people and prompting a multi agency investigation, authorities said.
The Cessna C550 aircraft went down while attempting to land at the airport north of Charlotte at about 10:15 a.m., according to the Federal Aviation Administration. Iredell County Sheriff Grant Campbell confirmed fatalities but said the exact number of people killed has not yet been released. Authorities have also not identified the victims.
Authorities have not confirmed the identities of those on board. A social media post from a person identifying himself as a friend of Greg Biffle claimed Biffle and his family were passengers on the plane, but officials have not verified that information.

Emergency crews responded to the scene on the runway, where images showed the aircraft engulfed in flames following the crash. Fire and law enforcement personnel remained on scene for several hours as investigators worked to secure the area.
Public records show the jet is registered to GB Aviation Leasing LLC, a North Carolina company affiliated with retired NASCAR driver Greg Biffle. Officials said it was not immediately known who was on board the aircraft at the time of the crash.
The National Transportation Safety Board and the FAA are investigating the cause of the crash. The airport was closed until further notice as crews cleared debris and investigators examined the wreckage.
Statesville Regional Airport is a city owned facility that serves corporate and general aviation, including aircraft associated with motorsports teams and regional businesses.

Down a rabbit hole to see if this was a CIA op because this man saved people of N.C. when the weather manipulation happened. He flew in and out with supplies for so many.
