Bay City police seek public's help locating missing 26-year-old woman
BAY CITY, Mich. — Bay City police are asking for the public’s help locating a 26-year-old woman who has not been seen by her family in nearly two weeks.
The Bay City Department of Public Safety said Amaya Lee-Slavik Burel was last seen Aug. 5 in the south end of Bay City.
Police said Burel was seen getting into an older, dark gray SUV and may have been heading toward the Grand Rapids area. Her family has not had contact with her since she disappeared.

Burel is described as 5 feet, 4 inches tall and approximately 145 pounds. Police said she currently has shoulder-length, dark violet hair.
Anyone with information about Burel’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Bay City Department of Public Safety Detective Bureau at 989-894-0161 or Bay County Central Dispatch at 989-892-9551.
Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-422-JAIL (5245).
The investigation remains ongoing.
